A new engine was put into the combine harvester at Foley’s garage. The ‘combine’ was owned by Berne Brosnan, Ballintubher (standing on combine). When the engine was mounted the combine was too high to come out and a lot of time was spent letting air out of the tyres. Eventually it ‘escaped’ from the garage.
